This piece is part of a series of paintings from Bill Bate's spring 2012 collection, inspired by a holiday in South Africa and the elements of light, heat, water and wind. Left unformed in areas to hint at movement, Bill Bate uses an impressionistic approach to capture the effects of these elements on the body.
