Originally sketched in black and white, Billy’s reimagination of this artwork illustrates the continuing evolution of his unique signature style.

By introducing a spectrum of colour to the famous ‘Glaswegian Icarus’, Billy expresses his love for creativity and originality, encouraging us all to embrace our individuality, no matter what. Although his figures are faceless, they still manage to possess an extraordinary self-awareness and humanity, whilst their anonymity opens them up to individual interpretation, creating a unique bond with the viewer. Billy says: “I'm very fond of this. I grow fonder of it.”
