Pink Tie & Hanky - Stainless Steel
Created from his sell-out drawing of the same name, this stainless steel sculpture by Billy Connolly originates from the artist's inaugural Born On A Rainy Day collection that has since spawned into seven incredible releases including Born On A Rainy Day 2021.
Formed first in clay to capture the detailed lines of his signature style, the sculpture is then cast in stainless steel which relates to Billy's time as a welder in the shipyards of Glasgow before his rise to fame. Contrast is created between detailed and patterned areas through texture and polishing while the pink tie and pocket square are hand-painted by our specialised team of craftsmen.
