Selfy James

This original mixed media artwork was created by the Bisaillon Brothers as an interpretation of the 2001 film James Dean starring James Franco. The essence of the piece is the iphone which sees James take a 'selfy' which actually reflects an original photo of James Dean. Featuring bold strokes of colour and typography, this piece also boasts a strange spelling of selfie which functions similar to Michael Bisaillon's coding where he expresses his ideas on social media in a unique and unusual way.

Epitomising the their interest in mid-20th century pop culture and 21st century technology, the Pop Collection sees the brothers combine their techniques and philosophies in a vibrant mosaic of time; these include: Jeffrey's abstract application of vibrant acrylic paint and Michael's unique trinary code that translates to certain phrases and names.

The bright colours of the original artwork combine with its serene resin texture to add a vibrant and modern splash to any home.
