In celebration of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, Bob has created this striking football-themed piece.
He says: “It is 52 years – over half a century – since that iconic day in 1966 with three lions on the shirt. To symbolise this, there are three lads playing football, with ‘goal’ written on the wall near the goal posts.”
Other details include the little boy in the red shirt with the number ‘6’, which was the number of the then-captain of the England squad, Bobby Moore. Players also wore red during their victorious match, when they had previously only worn white.
