Welly Bob Days
This heartening artwork is a homage to two of the artist's most loved and recognisable paintings; 'Just Us Ducks' and 'Family Reunion'. Here, the little girl has grown a little older as has the duck. The title comes from a family saying 'welly bob day', used on a day when it is raining but the children still want to play outside. The bright yellow of the coat and duck continue to perfectly contrast the monochromatic setting which, this time, is an elegant yet industrial cobbled street.
