Slide (2014)

Bob Dylan's highly acclaimed collection The Drawn Blank Series was originally exhibited at the Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz in 2007 and later by Halcyon Gallery in 2008. Since then, Dylan has continued to revisit original drawings that he completed in the late 1980s and early 1990s, in what has become a growing collection linked inextricably to his life on tour.

In this 2014 release, one can see how his addition of colour and texture after the fact to the original sketch gives greater depth and engenders entirely different emotions from the viewer.
