Gender Identity Fraud

Boy George’s extraordinary collection of mixed-media original artworks is a sight to behold.  Portraying a host of known and unknown icons, they explore themes of identity, transformation and judgement. A true maximalist, no material is off limits, resulting in visual feasts that pour out of the frame.

This piece is hand framed with a bespoke design, created especially to complement the features of the artwork. In the words of Boy George, “I saw something online about a new law in Texas against trans people called ‘Gender Identity Fraud’, which inspired this artwork. I feel very strongly about the issue of identity and feel we should all be able to identify as whatever we choose. Freedom for everyone. As long as you are not hurting others.”
