Blind To The World Around Us (Green)

A reimagining of an antique relic with crumbling elements, Dan uses contemporary references to bring the ideal forward into the modern day. The sculpture is part of Lane’s Modern Relic body of work, but also lends itself perfectly to the artist’s Chaos and Order collection.

The highly popular works have a contemporary, urban edge, but as an artist, Dan is hugely influenced by the creations of the Renaissance and it’s the fusion of the two different styles that make the pieces so special. Constantly constructing concepts as physical creations, Lane’s development and experimentation methods coupled with his ability to blend thematic elements, results in work that is simultaneously stylistically distinct and ever evolving.
