In his first collection of hand-signed limited-edition artworks on paper, Dan Lane has translated his impactful original sculpture into a striking two-dimensional artwork.

Capturing the detail, dimension and impact of his original sculpture, Lane worked with chrome-effect ink to instil this artwork with an eye-catching metallic appearance. Glossy black details are layered on the chrome ink to add depth to the piece, highlighting the intricate details of the design.

 Enthralled by the intricacies of genuine one-dollar notes, Lane set about designing his own featuring his signature skull. Adding fine detail and complexity whilst retaining the recognisable elements of the currency, he makes a strong statement about the benefits and dangers of money.

 “Money can do amazing things, build lives, homes, hospitals, societies etc., but it can also be the root of all evil. It should be used with caution.”
