Lady, Tramp (from 'Lady And The Tramp', 1955)
At the forefront of cinematic history, Walt Disney's animated film 'The Lady and the Tramp' was the 15th film by Disney and was the first to use a pioneering new Cinemascope wide screen filming process. Its romantic story and animation has continued to warm the hearts of audiences decades later and has resulted in a sequel and live action adaptation.
These cels would have been used in the original production process after an animators' original drawing was traced onto a sheet of transparent plastic and hand-painted in colour. It would have then been projected in front of a hand-painted background via a multiplane camera to create a minute yet crucial movement in the final film.
