Arguably one of Hanna-Barbera's most famous animations, Scooby-Doo has enraptured generations of audiences with its iconic characters, mysteries, and-of course- villains since its inception in 1969! With episodes and movies still in production today, it isn't hard to see the lasting impact the cartoon has had on children and adults alike and you can own a unique piece of its extensive history with this original production drawing and resultant animation cel!

This set of four illustrates the meticulous processes of early animation used by Hanna-Barbera studios. The cel or "celluloid" would have been used in the animators' production process after the hand drawings , also featured, were traced by hand onto a sheet of transparent plastic and painted in colour. Then projected onto a separately painted background in front of a camera, each cel - like this one - would be moved by hand according to the animating directors to create a minute yet crucial movement in the final cartoon.
