Post-Impressionist, symbolist and intimist painter Henri Le Sidaner maintained a distinguished career as an artist in 19th and 20th century France where he become known for intimate interiors and gardens. The original painting 'Le Déjeuner' was made in 1917 and sold for nearly £1 million at Sotheby's some 90 years later before a similar painting by the artist went for £1.3 million at auction in 2016. Here, Sidaner's characteristic soft strokes that border on pointillism, have been captured by world-famous art forger turned "Genuine Fakes" artist John Myatt.
