Starry Night With Café Terrace, Place Du Forum
John has returned for 2017 with his new Vincent collection: a poignant homage to the legendary Dutch Post-Impressionist painter, Vincent van Gogh.
The original painting, entitled ‘Café Terrace at Night’, was created in September 1888, while Vincent was living in Arles, southern France.
Shortly afterwards, Vincent wrote to his sister, saying: ‘Now there’s a painting of night without black. With nothing but beautiful blue, violet and green...I enormously enjoy painting on the spot at night’.
