Thor Odinsion first appeared in “Journey into Mystery #83” in August 1962. Based on the mythological god with the same name, he’s the Asgardian god of thunder. The character went to be featured in the Marvel Universe extensively, including as the founding member of The Avengers. Iron Man was co-created by Stan Lee and debuted in 1963 with Tales of Suspense #39, receiving his own title years later with Iron Man #1 (1968).
