The body of work saw Matthew travel to Italy, Germany and France to capture the world’s most beautiful abandoned buildings.
This image was taken at the power plant to an old coal mine in northern France that closed in 2002. He adds: “It gives me a sense of finality and renewal, because it is the end of another day and a thriving industrial era.”
