Go For It

Part of Nic’s 10th year celebrations with Castle Fine Art, ‘Go For It’ is under The Next Chapter collection initially released in 2023. Depicting the words “Walk on The Wild Side”, this limited edition embodies an ethos of breaking away from societal norms and exploring uncharted territories and giving total freedom of expression.

Embracing the unconventional, the piece is centred around embracing individuality, authenticity, and self-discovery, encouraging people to step beyond their comfort zones and live authentically without conforming to societal expectations.

Within the piece, there are 16 detailed miniature figures, each embracing their freedom and liberties of their newfound ‘wild side’. Representing not only the importance of exploring the different facets of oneself, Joly created “Go For It” as a means to encourage individuals to challenge oppressive systems and advocating for social justice, equality, and the right to live authentically without fear of judgment or discrimination.

Through Nic’s famous style and pops of colour, this piece is a thoughtful exploration of the conscious choice to find balance between societal expectations and personal freedom, navigating the unexplored while respecting boundaries. Ultimately, the concept of walking on the wild side celebrates the beauty in diversity, the richness of individual expression, and the courage to embrace the unconventional paths that lead to personal growth, creativity, and freedom.
