The One & Only 10
On this piece, Nic Joly says: "For this sculpture, I researched and made the number 10 and name Pelé as close to the exact lettering as possible to that was on the back of Pelé’s iconic shirt. For the colouring of the lettering, I used a green close to the Brazil green on the shirt, but also added a bit of texture to echo the grass of a football pitch. Each figure in the piece I have carved and made, basing the various poses you see upon photographs of Pelé in action.
