Following the success of his superhero series, Nigel Humphries has untied his cape and dived paintbrush-first into the history of rock and pop icons for his new collection, Mixtape. The collection takes us back to an era of homemade cassettes and, like any good mixtape, it’s eclectic but it’s one you’ll want to repeat over and over again! The new instalment of the collection focuses on rock stars.

Taking inspiration for this piece from the vocalist Axl Rose, Nigel says: "Axl is an iconic rock figure with an instantly recognisable image. It was a challenge to paint the fine details on this piece, particularly on the bandana. I enjoyed listening to Guns N' Roses tracks whilst painting."
