Girl Power
Following the success of his superhero series, Nigel Humphries has untied his cape and dived paintbrush-first into the history of rock and pop icons for his new collection, Mixtape. The collection takes us back to an era of homemade cassettes and, like any good mixtape, it’s eclectic but it’s one you’ll want to repeat over and over again!
Taking inspiration for this piece from the Spice Girls, Nigel says: “This painting required a great deal of research as there are no Funko Pop figures of the Spice Girls. I wanted to have a representative from each decade for this collection and when I thought of the 90s, I instantly thought of the Spice Girls. It was particularly important to get the right pose for each character.”
