Following the success of his superhero series, Nigel Humphries has untied his cape and dived paintbrush-first into the history of rock and pop icons for his new collection, Mixtape. The collection takes us back to an era of homemade cassettes and, like any good mixtape, it’s eclectic but it’s one you’ll want to repeat over and over again! The new instalment of the collection focuses on rock stars.

Taking inspiration for this piece from Saul Hudson, a guitarist of Guns N' Roses, Nigel says: "Slash is not only a fantastic guitarist, but he also has an instantly recognisable image with his top hat, sunglasses and nose ring. This makes him a pleasure to paint. He was also born in Stoke like me!"
