Golden Haze

In this golden landscape illuminated by the setting sun, we see a house perched amongst fluffy trees at the end of a narrow path, forged through winding hills and across a tranquil river. Vivid tones of green are softened by the warm colours of the sunset that bounce off the leaves; a new technique used by the artist who previously portrayed trees with flawless smoothness and uniformity.

Nonetheless utopian, Paul’s yearning for a solitary lifestyle is also conveyed here. In keeping with the rest of his Spring 2021 collection, Paul creates idyllically secluded landscapes because, to him, they epitomise his idea of heaven.

Framed in foiled pine and hand-varnished by our special atelier team, this classic yet contemporary landscape painting suits a wide range of home styles and its unique composition makes it the perfect addition to an existing Corfield collection.
