Pink Meadow Lane
Hand-signed Giclée Canvas on Board Limited Edition by Paul Corfield.
Working with a punchy and harmonious colour palette, Paul Corfield’s new collection shows us idyllic landscapes inspired by the south of England. With his signature white house in vista, Corfield douses British coastlines in warm sunlight. From luscious greenery to turquoise waters, in ‘Pink Meadow Lane’ the artist captures the real-life effects of light and atmosphere in his distinctive, imaginative realism style.
Using ‘lead white’ paint for the first time, Corfield has breathed new life into his picturesque scenery, adding depth and texture to the pathways and waters within this collection. A medium traditionally used by art conservators and restorers and known for its unique stringy quality, the paint has allowed the artist to introduce more texture into his work as it retains its shape as it dries.
As ever, Corfield wanted to set himself a new challenge with the creation of this collection. Whilst painting these pieces, he focused on adding more detail to the flowers and experimented with working in a looser style whilst creating waves to allow for a free-flowing and energetic feel. Perfecting his colour palettes to emphasise the cosy, welcoming atmosphere of his artwork, Corfield ensured the sunset became the focal point within each piece.
This artwork is also available in a set of three.
