Another Time, Another Place

Like the Impressionist painters before him, Paul Kenton evokes moods and emotions with his colours, free shapes and dripped lines. In a collection that captures two of the most iconic cities in the world, he continues to define a new genre of cityscape art. This piece is taken from his London/New York series. 

Paul explains: “Colour is essential for projecting a mood within my paintings. In this piece, I use a richly saturated colour palette to capture the heightened drama charging around Westminster. Bright, vivid and warm tones create a focal point, drawing the viewer’s attention to the Houses of Parliament and the lights reflected on the Thames.”
