On creating his metallic cityscapes, Paul wrote: “The reason that I paint onto metal is that it creates another dimension. If I’m painting a cityscape scene and there’s lots of buildings, I use the metal to create another dimension in the windows, doorways and reflections. It just adds another interesting feature and mood to a painting".

"A multitude of bold black marks are built up to form St Paul’s and the streets below, as pops of red draw attention to the iconic red buses darting around the capital."
