 Created in the wilderness of Connecticut, USA, the beautiful original artworks from the Gaia collection are inspired by Mother Earth.

Each piece features layers of imagery, writing, paint, and natural materials sourced from around the world. Adorned with leaves, flowers, feathers and even shark teeth, they were left outside to evolve organically under the heat and sunlight.

Raphael says: “The longer, taller artworks have a lot more layers, which has allowed me to create depth whilst cropping the images in interesting ways. I have muted the colours in the base image and then added the layers of paint, resin and natural elements to make the piece pop with colour and vibrancy.”
