Named after the Mother Earth goddess of Greek mythology, the Gaia collection intertwines nature with photography and portraiture.
These hand-embellished artworks have been printed on 100% cotton watercolour paper, which was created using natural woollen felts to give it a beautiful, unique texture. Vivid colours are magnified by the acid-free, archival paper and gold foil elements. The rustic edges are showcased by the float-mounted effect, which suspends the print in the frame.
Former fashion photographer Raphael created the original artworks in the wilderness of Connecticut, USA, adding natural elements including feathers, leaves and flowers. He says: “This recipe brings the realness and rawness that bring us down to earth and connect us to it.”
