Richard has travelled the world in search of the most exciting locations to inspire his pieces.

Commenting on this piece, he says: “The effect that I wanted to try and capture here was the speed in which the light can pass through the bolt of lightning. I did this by cutting out the bolt and then shading back through the strike edges. The pouring rain was also shown being lit by the lightning.”
