Nightingale

In “Nightingale”, Rowan’s created a beautiful original with incredible details. Richard worked meticulously to add this hand-painted background that preserves the shades of oil beneath the layers, before piercing through them to add depth and texture. This intricate and atmospheric artwork created in layers, is an opportunity for collectors to acquire a new type of original work from Richard.

Being at the forefront of his technique, Richard Rowan’s original artworks are detailed with his characteristic photographic realism, illustrating the power of nature. The landscapes are reverse painted in layers on to the glass, which allows him to achieve the microscopic detail and preserve the vibrant colours.
