According to Stephen, this particular piece was "inspired by the UK austerity events of 2010. Most public sector funding had been reduced. The number of police officers and police cars were significantly affected. I thought what if things got that bad, that the police had to ride round on space hoppers due to the lack of police cars available, hence “Copper on a Hopper”.
