Initially a parody of contemporary artist Jeff Koons whose work sold for nearly $60m at auction, these cheeky and rebellious sculptures by Whatshisname began to adopt the behaviour of real dogs; modelled after his own three pets. A fusion of unique and wonderful ideas with a combination of the modern art symbols and the natural behaviours of dogs, the aim of this piece is to evoke pure joy and happiness. The Chrome finish of the piece is a first for the artist at the size of this sculpture. Weighing 20kg, the shiny chrome finish creates a different feel to the piece, as opposed to the artist’s usual bright colours.
