Point Blank | Portfolio Set of Four Portraits

Demonstrating his sensibility for storytelling, Point Blank is a notably observant series of works that reads like a glimpse into Bob Dylan’s visual journal. 

This set of portraits sees Dylan not only observe the human condition, but throw himself into it with great urgency. He draws us close with his intimate representation of subjects that appear to stem from a lived perspective, finding poetic resonance in the details. As the viewer, our imagination is provoked to contemplate the protagonists in the pieces.

Based on ‘quick studies’ created between 2021 and 2022, the original drawings were then painted over with vibrant colours and expressive brushwork.
