Last Rays Over Venice

In “Last Rays Over Venice”, light and colour appears to bounce between the water, houses and gondola to create a romantically secluded scene full of texture and movement. With the city and the Venice canals bathed in warm golden light, this painting captures a moment of calm and serenity in the busyness of such a big city. With a soft tonal palette and touches of metallic paint to emphasise the shimmering quality of the sunset, the artist created a mesmerising piece.
